Hello! Hard to believe February is nearly at its end!
I continue to be impressed with each and every one of my students. Truly! However, there are some that have done exceptional work lately that I wish to point out and give special praise. First, in META class, Luna 1 and Luna 2! A+ They always bring their books, do their homework, and add extra color and flare, often doing even MORE than what is required, and they always raise their hand and wait to be called on, and participate with enthusiasm. GREAT students all around! Then in KANGAROO, Eden does his homework almost every time, even if he doesn't understand, he tries his best, and he listens attentively, is quiet and courteous, and raises his hand in order to be an active participant. Lovely! In MARS class, we have only started doing essays again, and so I have no pictures to show, but Simon, Lora, and Lily are doing an exceptional job so far! I am very impressed and look forward to seeing more of their great work. In TITAN class, I am forever impressed with ALL of them! Hayden, Orange, Irene, and Alyssa are just incredible in terms of their vocabulary, grammar, their effort, and consistency. I will miss having them next term, but I know they will continue to work hard and make Dean Teacher proud as well. In HARVARD class, again, they are all just exceptional. However, I am extremely happy with the work and effort I've seen from one of the newest students to the class, Lucia. She is consistent in doing her homework, listens attentively, and does her best no matter what. But truly, Harvard is another class where I cannot pick or choose, as they are ALL (Hayden, Sarah, Emma, and Lucia) truly exceptional. APPLE class I have only been meeting once a week this term, but I will have them for OCR-6 starting in March, which I am very much looking forward to. This term, however, I have seen a lot of growth and continued effort and consistency from both Emma and Ella, whom I can almost always count on to have their work done and done WELL. But when it comes to reading comprehension and vocabulary, Alex deserves praise as well. I have been very impressed lately with all three.
Now, for all of the other classes, as the other classes are all writing essays for me, once a week, I have selected the BEST of their recent essays from each class to post, and so I give BIG kudos to the following students for exceptionally well-written essays. Essays are judged based on their structure, content, and their grammar.
From MERCURY class, both DYLAN and YURA have been doing stellar work, but I apologize, as I only have a photo to post of Dylan's work, but Yura's is so beautifully written and is truly impressive, especially since this class has only just begun writing essays no more than 2 months prior. Next is JUPITER, where Amy and Sarah are doing just incredible work! I am forever impressed with these two!
In OXFORD class, Sally really is showing promise, and her last essay was beautifully done! A+ work on this one!
In DUKE class, ALL students are doing SUCH great work! I love reading their essays and helping them to make them even better. It's hard to choose one student above the others, but below is one of Erica's most recent essays, just as an example of the top-quality work I get from this class. ALL of you are doing stellar work, and I hope for it to continue!
And last but not least, WILLIAM in WASHINGTON class... This is his last term with us here at Kate LA, as he is graduating and moving on in life, but... what a pleasure! His essays have been beyond impressive! Judging from his work ethic and the quality of his work, I know he will do great things and go far in this life. Bravo!
